Whisperly Privacy Policy
Whisperly is a website where you talk to one random stranger at a time, mostly by voice or by text. Even a chat with no camera needs a little information to work: something to tell your session apart from everyone else’s, a way to deliver your messages, a record of any coins you buy. This page lists that information, what we do with it and what you can ask us to change. Questions go to [email protected].

Everyone who opens whisperly.cam, whether you arrived as a guest a minute ago or have been using the site for months, and whether you use it in a browser tab or from an icon on your home screen. A guest session is created the first time the site loads, because a match can’t be made without one, so the policy applies from that first visit.
“We”, “us” and “Whisperly” in this policy mean the people who run whisperly.cam.
A voice call has to pass through the service to reach the other person, and a text conversation is stored so that both of you can see it. If you choose a video match or start a video call from a profile, the same applies to the picture from your camera.
Whatever you say or type reaches a real person who can hear it, read it and remember it. We can’t control what someone does on their own device, so think twice before sharing anything you’d want to keep to yourself.
We don’t sell personal information. We share it only with services that help keep Whisperly running, and only as much as each one needs: hosting and storage, payment providers for coin and VIP purchases, and tools that measure how the site is used.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or when it is needed to protect someone from harm.
Information is kept while your account or guest session is in use and for as long afterwards as is needed for the purposes above, for example to settle a payment question or a report. After that it is deleted or made anonymous.
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. Write to [email protected] from the address you want us to reply to, and tell us how to find your session or account (a username or the date and time you last used the site helps). Depending on where you live you may have further rights, and you can complain to your local data protection authority.
Whisperly is only for people aged 18 or older, or the age of majority where they live if that is higher. If we learn that someone younger is using it, we close their access and delete what we hold about them.
If this policy changes, the new version is posted on this page with a new date at the top. Significant changes are also shown on the site before they apply.
